The Maxxis Aspen AT is the logical further development of one of the most successful cross-country tires ever. Based on the proven Aspen platform, the tread pattern has been specifically adapted to the requirements of modern XC and downcountry trails. The result is a fast, efficient rolling tire that offers a significant increase in control and safety even on more demanding terrain.

Thanks to the revised tread design, the Aspen AT impresses with improved traction and more stable handling without losing its race DNA. This positions it exactly between classic XC racing tires and more aggressive trail models - ideal for you if you are looking for a versatile tire for changing conditions. Whether on fast race courses, technical passages or long tours: the Aspen AT offers the right balance of speed, grip and control.

MaxxSpeed
The MaxxSpeed compound is undoubtedly one of the most advanced compounds for XC racing. This high-performance silica compound significantly reduces rolling resistance while improving grip on wet surfaces. Compared to the 3C MaxxSpeed, the laboratory test shows a remarkable reduction in rolling resistance of around 25 % (with unchanged tread, tire structure and air pressure). During a 90-minute race, this could theoretically mean a time saving of up to one minute.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have a too angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 30 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 25 and 30 mm.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions from the very first inflation and with little liquid.

Note: We strongly advise against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used.
