The Swedish brand Maurten offers a wide range of sports nutrition products. It was named after Mårten, a triathlete and friend of the family of company founder and entrepreneur Olof Sköld. In 2015, Maurten took up the challenge and developed the next generation of sports nutrition. Maurten's motto is: "Back to the essentials - no more and no less than what you really need."
True to their company philosophy, Maurten Drink Mix beverage powders contain no added flavors and therefore have a neutral taste. However, many athletes experience increasing taste fatigue during long training sessions, competitions or stage races if the sports drink always has the same taste. In the worst case scenario, this can lead to the fueling strategy not being adhered to because the athlete drinks less or switches to suboptimal alternative drinks with the desired taste.
To address this performance-limiting problem, Maurten has developed the Additions, the perfect tool to overcome flavor fatigue during training and competition without compromising the fueling strategy. The additions have been optimized for use with the Maurten Drink Mix 160, 320 and 320 Caf 100 drink powders. One portion of Addition dissolved in 500 milliliters of Drink Mix provides the necessary palate reset. Naturally, the additions are compatible with all Maurten hydrogel products. They are available in orange, menthol, cola and apple flavors for great variety.
Note: When dissolved in pure water, the additions have hardly any taste of their own and should ideally be used in combination with Maurten Drink Mix 160, 320 or 320 Caf 100.

Recommended intake
- During exercise
- Add a sachet of Maurten Drink Mix 160, 320 or 320 Caf 100 drink powder to 500 ml of water. Shake well until the powder has completely dissolved.
- First add half of the Addition sachet. Depending on your taste, you can then add more powder.
- In addition to a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
