MANITOU suspension fork Mastodon PRO | STD Fatbike 100 mm | QR15 x 150 tapered matt black
The new Mastodon is based on Manitou's proven All Mountain platform, which has been specially developed for fatbikes. The main focus is on high stiffness in the large width and optimal function in extreme temperatures. The Mastodon also lets through the thickest tires: up to max. 26 x 5.05 ".
Thanks to the 34mm standpipes, the fork can score with a very adequate rigidity (25% more than the competition), as well as a fantastic steering precision. The consistent performance of compression and rebound damping provides confidence, especially in braking maneuvers and in bends.
The fork is available in 2 variants:
- STD is the standard Ride Hight version. This fork is designed for tires up to 26 "x 4" / 27.5 "x 3.8" and a maximum tire diameter of 758 mm.
- EXT is the Extended Ride Hight version. This fork is designed for tires up to 26 "x 5.15" / 27.5 "x 4.5" and a maximum tire diameter of 798 mm.
Thanks to Manitou's expertise in snowmobile racing, the Mastodon is perfect for cold temperatures down to -15 ° C.
MC2
The Mastodon has a new Shim-based MC2 (Multi Control Compression) damper, with high and low-speed compression adjustment options.
HexLock SL
HexLock SL gives you the same performance as the QR version, but is much easier.
