The light support of e-bikes conjures up a smile on your face every day, but at the same time increases the weight of your bike. You can get up the mountain with much more fun - downhill the more mass and higher speeds bring new challenges for man and material. In order to better meet the special requirements of e-bikes, Magura offers specially optimized components for this purpose.
With the MDR-P MAGURA introduces a brake disc for performance-oriented drivers and tough applications - from downhill to e-bikes to heavy duty bikes. The two-piece disc saves weight compared to the MDR-C and is now also available in diameters up to 220 mm. A special feature of the two-piece disc is the patented toothing of the outer and inner ring (Dovetail Interlink technology). The toothing allows for thermal expansion of the outer ring an additional support on the inner ring. In contrast to floating discs, the torque is transmitted over the entire surface instead of just over the rivets. The result is an increased rigidity of the brake disc and a particularly direct heat dissipation under continuous load. Thanks to the new technology, the MDR-P is the strongest brake disc in the Magura portfolio, yet with low weight and reduced vibration, perfect for e-bike and gravity applications.
The new 8.S brake pad developed by Magura has been specially developed for eBike use. He has a high braking force, long durability and requires only a short Einbremsdauer.
ATTENTION: The brake disc must not be used with Centerlock adapters!
