The light support of e-bikes puts a smile on your face every day, but at the same time increases the weight of your bike. You can go up the mountain with a lot more fun - downhill, more mass and higher speeds bring new challenges for people and materials. To better meet the special requirements of e-bikes, Magura offers components specially optimized for this purpose.
With the MDR-P, MAGURA is introducing a brake disc for performance-oriented riders and tough applications - from downhill to e-bikes to heavy cargo bikes. The two-part disc saves weight compared to the MDR-C and is also available for the first time in diameter up to 220 mm. A special feature of the two-part disc is the patented toothing of the outer and inner ring (Dovetail Interlink technology). The teeth enable additional support on the inner ring if the outer ring expands. In contrast to floating discs, the torque is transmitted over the entire area instead of just over the rivets. The result is an increased rigidity of the brake disc and a particularly direct heat dissipation under permanent load. Thanks to the new technology, the MDR-P is the strongest brake disc in the Magura portfolio and still offers low weight and reduced vibration, perfect for e-bike and gravity use.
The 8.S brake pad newly developed by Magura has been specially developed for eBike use. It has a high braking force, long durability and only needs a short braking time.
ATTENTION: The brake disc must not be used with Centerlock adapters!
