The new Lightweight Generation EVO is here, either you drive it or you overtake it! Since their market launch, the full carbon wheels from Friedrichshafen have been among the most sought-after wheel sets for racing bike enthusiasts as well as professional riders. For Lightweight, however, this is no reason to rest on your laurels, but motivation to significantly improve each new generation of wheelsets and to equip them with new features.

The wide and bulbous rims of the Fernweg EVO perfectly integrate 25 millimeter wide tires and offer very good support up to 32 millimeter wide tires. Compared to the predecessor, the inner rim width has grown to 18.2 millimeters and the EVO rims are equipped with a tubeless-ready profile. In the wind tunnel, the rims are particularly convincing in realistic cross-wind conditions. Not only that they are on par with the market leaders in terms of air resistance with the same rim height, compared to the competition, the rims are more stable in crosswinds and the forces on the steering are less. In practice, this can mean the difference between whether you can stay in the semi-trailer in the aerodynamically favorable sitting position or whether you have to reach into the base handlebar in windy conditions. Thanks to the use of special CFRP fibers in combination with a new layer structure, it is even more stable and durable. For the driver, this means even more efficient power transmission, excellent handling and, above all, even more speed. Despite the enormous rigidity, the comfort factor could also be increased in order to conserve the driver's strength on long journeys.
