KCNC Brake Cable Set Titanium with Teflon coating | MTB + Road
The KCNC Brake cables consist of very many, very thin titanium wires. The delicate structure leads to a high flexibility of the trains, without that the braking performance is adversely affected. The surface roughness of the coatings is very low and where every brake cable is coated with Teflon for minimal friction forces. Teflon provides without any further lubrication one of the lowest coefficients of friction with other solids on. So that the trains without any lubrication slide better than many alternatives with lubrication. Abandoning lubricant requires also that no dirt can be bound by oil or grease.
