Each derailleur roller is milled from a piece of aluminum in Hope's typical design and then anodized. The large cartridge bearings made of stainless steel with special seals ensure a low-friction, long-lasting barrel. In addition, the labyrinth seals in the spacers prevent dirt from penetrating the bearing .
