The Antares has been developed according to the Spine Concept developed by Fizik for the Chameleon driver, who is averagely moving in the upper body and pedaling with little pelvic rotation. The R1 Open Regular variant is equipped with a braided carbon frame, which is significantly lighter than the alloy and offers excellent comfort due to its flex behavior. This also contributes to the saddle shell made of carbon-reinforced nylon. The recess in the center of the saddle ensures anatomically optimal weight distribution and avoids excessive pressure on the blood vessels and nerves in the perineal area. This makes the driver more comfortable and more efficient on the road.

Fizik Spine Concept
The Fizik Spine Concept helps you find the right saddle. It divides the driver according to the articulation of the spine, which results in different demands on the saddle to sit ergonomically and over long distances symptom-free on the bike. For the very articulated driver Fizik has developed the made for Snake models, which are comparatively long and flat. For very flexible drivers, the main load always sits on the seat bone and they therefore require little padding. The less flexible driver tends to tip forward with the pelvis, especially if he takes a streamlined position on the bike. For this type of driver, the made for Bull models are suitable, which with their rearwardly rising shape offer better support for the pelvis and have more padding. The gap between these two models fill the made for Chameleon models with a slightly flatter line than the Bull models and a bit more padding than the Snake models.

Integrated clip system
The ICS system is a saddle-integrated option to mount ICS-compatible saddlebags or taillights without tools and safely in the twinkling of an eye. At the bottom of the saddle shell, it does not affect the look of the saddle and brings only a negligible extra weight.
