EXTRALITE rear hub HyperBoost R + for 12x148 mm BOOST thru axle | Freewheel SRAM XD
The HyperBoost R rear hub from Extralite sets standards in all matters. Light, beautiful, reliable! The design of the hub is optimized using modern simulation technology and, with its organic oversized shape, offers an optimal flow of force in the material. The spoke flanges are designed for straight spokes (Straightpull) in order to enable the most direct and straightforward flow of power possible.
Of course, the best possible optimization was also carried out with the freewheel mechanism. The freewheel is realized via a toothed lock washer, which engages directly in a toothing introduced into the freewheel. In order to safely transmit even the highest forces, all 60 teeth always mesh. This not only results in a noticeably shorter free travel until the frictional connection takes place, but also an incomparable sound. This extremely direct power transmission offers clear advantages, especially when starting hard or in difficult technical terrain.
The second generation of the HyperRear hub is in itself just an update of two details. The seal between the hub body and the freewheel has been completely redesigned and now has an even higher sealing effect with constant, low friction. In addition, the toothing between the toothed disc and the hub body has been redesigned. If the toothing in the hub body is worn out, it is now possible to replace the toothed disc in order to restore full functionality!
