The AG 28 FOUNDATION COLLECTION wheelset was developed for quality-conscious riders who want to plunge into adventure away from the asphalt and sit in the saddle for hours. "AG" stands for "Adventure Gravel", which guarantees you a long service life and a lot of comfort. The developers spent many hours testing until the final shape of the rim was determined. Together with ENVE's own hubs and the Sapim spokes, you will have a lot of fun with it.

rims
ENVE carbon rims are developed by ENVE in the USA and manufactured in compliance with the highest quality requirements at the company's headquarters in Utah. The engineers at ENVE have years of experience with the use of carbon in the field of cycling and know what requirements a top product like these carbon rims must meet. At ENVE everything is done to use the advantages of carbon and to eliminate its disadvantages. So stiff and extremely light rims were developed in which all fibers can run without interruption, which corresponds to the best possible use of the material thickness. This principle has been perfected with the spoke holes, in that continuous fiber strands form the mount for the spoke nipples. Aluminum inserts, as are common with other carbon rims, can therefore be dispensed with during production. This reduces the weight and at the same time allows much higher spoke tensions, which in turn allow the construction of stiffer wheels. The FOUNDATION COLLECTION rims have the ability to accommodate tires up to 57mm wide. This gives you a lot of grip and allows you to master longer jogging slopes without getting tired. The use of tubeless systems is recommended, which can be implemented very effectively and safely thanks to the hookless construction. The latter also increases the resistance if you hit an edge hard.

Hubs
The racing bike, gravel and cyclocross disc hub that rightly bears the name ENVE - because it takes performance to a new level compared to the current leading competitors. This hub enables the construction of even more efficient wheels, with better power transmission and higher reliability thanks to the low-maintenance and robust construction.
The aluminum body rotates on reliable and smooth-running bearings with steel balls. Thanks to the Perfect Preload ™ technology, the maintenance effort has been minimized and the service life of the NTN stainless steel bearings has been noticeably extended. This means that the bearing play does not have to be set or readjusted.
The toothed pulley freewheel on the rear axle is toothed 40 times and, compared to the pawl freewheel, offers faster frictional engagement, lower weight and more ease of maintenance.

Spokes
Sapim CX-Sprint spokes are so-called knife spokes. The middle part is butted to a diameter of 1.25 mm during production and forged flat in the last work step. These processes solidify the structure and produce extremely durable and lightweight spokes.
