EASTON rear wheel EC90 AX Disc
The Easton EC90 AX wheels have been specially developed for the requirements of gravel and adventure bikes. With an internal width of 25 millimeters, the rim is very wide and offers very good support for 35C to 55C tires with low air pressure. Due to the carbon construction, the weight remains pleasantly low at 1399 grams (wheelset, even weighed), which gives the wheels a high level of agility.
The rear wheel is built around Easton's Vault hub, which with its oversized hub housing offers an extremely high degree of rigidity for the construction of robust and durable wheels. The smooth-running labyrinth rubber seals ensure high protection in adverse external conditions. With 60 locking points per wheel revolution, the Vault hub is one of the finest toothed hubs on the market. This enables an extremely direct start. The fine toothing is achieved by means of a pawl freewheel with three double-toothed pawls and a toothed lock washer with 60 locking points. The low resistance of the pawl springs ensures extremely low energy loss when rolling.
The end caps of the Vault hubs can be exchanged without tools for easy conversion of the hubs to other axle type standards. To save weight, the wheel is built with double butted Sapim straight pull spokes.
