With the World Runner Carbon R rim, the French from Duke have again achieved a great success. It is lighter and more resilient than the previous model. R stands for Race and will therefore appeal specifically to performance-oriented gravel bikers.
The lower weight is achieved through an optimized use of materials. Particularly polluted areas have been strengthened, and non-critical areas have been saved. In addition, the amount of resin used has been reduced again without sacrificing stability.
Thanks to the SLS2 production technology developed by Duke, post-processing or painting of the rims is no longer necessary in the production process. This alone can save up to 10% in weight and achieve a very high surface quality. The use of highly modular carbon fibers also improves the self-damping, which benefits increased driving comfort. In addition, the high flank reduces disruptive wind turbulence and ensures excellent aerodynamic properties.
Rims are definitely at the top of their class when it comes to resilience. With a maximum of 135 kg, you can take a little more luggage with you.
3 year guarantee on carbon rims
Duke selects the materials used very carefully in order to offer you the best possible product. Therefore, the quality standards for all products, subcontractors and partners are very strict. Duke guarantees for a period of three years that the rims on offer have no hidden defects. However, improper assembly or use of the products will void the warranty.
Duke also offers a crash replacement for its carbon rims. In the event of an accident or serious fall, severe impacts can damage the rim and make it impossible to use.
