With the World Runner Carbon R rim, the French from Duke have again made a big splash. It is lighter and more resilient than the previous model. R stands for race and will therefore specifically appeal to performance-oriented gravel bikers.
The lower weight is achieved through an optimized use of materials. Areas subject to particularly heavy loads were reinforced, while uncritical ones were cut. In addition, the amount of resin used has been reduced again without sacrificing stability.
Thanks to the SLS2 production technology developed by Duke, post-processing or painting of the rims is no longer necessary in the production process. This alone can save up to 10% in weight and achieve a very high surface quality. The use of high-modulus carbon fibers also improves the inherent damping, which benefits increased driving comfort. In addition, the high flank reduces disturbing wind turbulence and ensures excellent aerodynamic properties.
The rim is definitely the class leader when it comes to resilience. With a maximum of 135 kg, you can take a little more luggage with you.
2 year warranty and lifetime crash replacement on UD carbon rims
Duke selects the materials used very carefully in order to be able to offer you the best possible product. Therefore, the quality standards for all products, subcontractors and partners are very strict. Duke guarantees for a period of two years that the rims offered will not have any hidden defects. However, improper assembly or use of the products will void the warranty.
In the event of an accident or serious fall, violent impacts can damage the rim and make it impossible to use. Therefore, Duke offers a lifetime crash replacement for its UD carbon rims. In exchange, you will receive a discount of 50% on the rim you have purchased.
