The DT Swiss Spline One wheels are built from the best ingredients of the Swiss tradition manufactory. The new wheel with an internal width of 22.5 millimeters has grown a whopping 2.5 millimeters wider, compared to the predecessor version. This results in more tire volume at the same tire width and the wheels offer more comfort and traction on the trail. The asymmetrical rim design allows load-optimized spoke angles and thus increases the wheel stiffness. With proven hub life and high feed-in quality, the Spline wheel sets are beyond doubt in terms of durability and robustness. With its low weight, the XR 1501 is easy to accelerate and is thus predestined for cross country applications. The wheel set is supplied with a wide range of accessories (see scope of delivery).
With the modular design, the spline hubs can be converted to any standard axle type standard without tools. Likewise, most maintenance work and the insertion of another rotor without a special tool is possible. The proven toothed disc freewheel provides not only for the typical DT Swiss Nabensound, but also for a very direct force closure every 10 degrees over 36 teeth. In addition, the force is transferred very evenly to the impeller, which makes this type of free-wheel virtually indestructible.
All rims of the spline wheel sets are equipped with a tubeless compatible profile. Thus, only tubelesstape has to be glued in and the included Tubeless valves have to be used and the Spline wheel set is ready for tubeless use. The rims are connected by a special welding process, which is the best and most durable connection of a rim. A subsequent milling operation guarantees a technically and visually clean rim impact.
The spline wheel sets are built with straight spull spokes only. This ensures a very high stiffness in the impeller and the elimination of the sensitive spoke bow for a very long durability. This reduces the overall weight of the impeller set and increases the durability of the spokes.
PHR nipple system
Stands for Pro Head Reinforcement System, where the nipple and rim form a kind of ball joint. This ensures a more flat contact surface between the nipple and the rim, which makes the nipple easier to align. Thus the spokes always stand at the right angle to the rim and the forces can be transferred better. The DT Squorx nipples have a Torx mount on the underside, which provides a better tool mount for more precise centering. On the outside, however, the Squorx nipples can still be tightened with a standard standard nipple wrench.
