DT SWISS Damper X 313 ODL
The X 313 damper can be quickly adapted to the terrain with its ODL (Open-Drive-Lock) damping system. It offers 3 different drive modes from fully open for maximum performance over the entire travel, reduced travel for traction in rough climbs and completely blocked (lockout) for very fast passages.
The air spring is filled via only one valve for the positive and negative chamber. The spring characteristic for this concept is already optimally adjusted ex works and the air pressure only has to be adapted to the rider's weight. Matching the spring characteristic, the damping has also been retuned.
New for the model year 2015 is the SAB (Smooth-Auto-Balancing) system. Behind this term hides only an overflow valve on the damper outside. This ensures a pressure equalization between positive and negative air chamber, whenever the damper passes over a recess during compression. This is to achieve an even more sensitive response.
The damper eyes are equipped as with all DT Swiss shocks with ball joints. These reduce the lateral loads on the dampers as they result from fit inaccuracies on the frame. As a result, the friction in the damper bushes is reduced, the response is improved and the wear of the bushings is minimized.
