For some time now, some of the currently lightest carbon parts for XC bikes have come from the Darimo carbon forge, which is located in beautiful Valencia on the east coast of Spain. With the Ellipse Gravel handlebars, the Spaniards are targeting the group of weight fanatics with Gravel bikes. Thanks to the 420 mm width, you have countless possibilities to put your hand down comfortably, to mount accessories such as a lamp, bell or a bicycle computer and with a weight of only 153g it brings pleasantly little ballast for the scales.
The handlebar is available in four different finishes (UD gloss or matte, 3k gloss or matte) and a width of 420 mm, measured from center to center. The Ellipse Gravel handlebar has a compact reach of 77 mm and 128 mm drop. The flattened upper part ensures comfort when the tour takes up the whole day. Laminated guides for brake and shift cables on the underside help you to assemble everything perfectly.
In order to achieve the sensational weight of 153g/420 mm, to pass the standard ISO test for handlebars and to be able to approve the components up to 110 kg system weight, Darimo Carbon uses a specially developed lamination process and only the highest quality carbon fibers and resins are used Mission. In order to guarantee consistently high quality, all Darimo products are manufactured in Spain. The 31.8 mm handlebar clamp is suitable for current oversize stems. Darimo recommends a 4-screw clamp and tightening it with a maximum of 3.5Nm. A torque of up to 4Nm is permitted in the clamping area of the shift/brake lever.
NOTE: The instructions for the product must be observed! Torques must be observed. If you do not have the necessary specialist knowledge or tools to correctly assemble the handlebars, the installation must be carried out by a specialist workshop with the appropriate knowledge.
