"A clean chain for everyone" is the motto of the young company CYCLOWAX. The SRAM chain is pre-waxed and its unique flat-top shape allows the chain to be narrower and lighter. The resulting larger distance between the outer plates and the sprockets ensures smoother chain operation and even more precise shifting. As a positive side effect, the service life of the chain also increases. The wax forms a transparent, smooth coating and keeps the chain clean, meaning no more dirty hands and the hassle of cleaning and easy transport without chainring tattoos. Thanks to the reduced friction, you save energy and at the same time extend the service life of your drive. This saves money and protects the environment. In order to get a smooth-running drive, the chain should be waxed after approx. 250 km in everyday use. In addition, re-waxing after wet rides is recommended.
Note : Check your chain regularly with a chain tester and replace it as soon as the wear limit of 0.5% is reached. To wax the chain again, the device Cyclowax-Heater is required.
