The Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW) from CERAMICSPEED is the logical consequence of minimizing friction. The oversized derailleur pulleys with 15 teeth at the top and a massive 19 teeth at the bottom significantly minimize the movement of the chain links when passing through the cage. This is noticeable in the lower friction and ensures a significantly longer service life compared to other commercially available systems.
The derailleur wheels from the Danish company CeramicSpeed represent the absolute high-end solution for all drivers who want to get the most out of themselves and their material in the race and for whom every watt saved is more important than anything else. Derailleur rollers and especially their bearings have to compensate for a lot of friction. Depending on the translation, these rotate 4-5 times faster than the crank and thus benefit in particular from low-friction and durable bearing . The CeramicSpeed SpeedBalls balls are 15% harder than the competition and can absorb significantly more forces. They also have an incredibly smooth surface, which reduces rolling resistance to a minimum. All of these improvements have allowed the service life to be increased by 6 times.
Compared to the already high-quality standard bearings from CeramicSpeed, the "coated" version has a wafer-thin protective layer applied to the bearing rings. As a result, the latter become even harder, have a life cycle that is 60% longer and have even lower rolling resistance.
If the bearings are already top class technically, the rollers are in no way inferior to them. Made from high-quality titanium using a 3D printer, they are an absolute novelty on the market. The hollow design saves additional weight and the oil-slick-style aluminum titanium nitride surface coating provides a sophisticated look. You will definitely be envied for that.
The bearing cage is made of carbon fibers reinforced with polyamide. This allows the forces to be absorbed and distributed better and your rear derailleur works perfectly even under the most adverse conditions.
CeramicSpeed only uses the best materials and the latest technologies in production in order to always achieve the highest possible quality. All products are handmade in Denmark. Manual assembly eliminates manufacturing tolerances and always guarantees a 100% fit. So that you really only use the best on your bike.
The oil included in the scope of delivery is used for maintenance and has been specially designed for these bearings. Lubricants from other manufacturers are not recommended for this.
Important instructions
When travelling, please remember to dismantle the entire rear derailleur with an Allen key, as very few bicycle transport bags offer enough space for the OSPW system.
