The asymmetrical X-CarboCam chainring from CARBON-TI is a masterpiece of Italian milling. It is made from a mix of materials. The main component consists of 3K carbon, around which a toothed ring made of aluminum (AL7075-T6) is stretched. High quality titanium was used for the shifting aids. In cover of durability and weight, the CARBON-TI CarboCam chainring is the best example of a sensible use of materials.
The back of the carbon chainring is artfully milled to save even the last gram and to enable perfect shifting behavior. The use of aluminum as tooth material also ensures a long shelf life.
The X-CarboCam was also designed as an oval chainring, which promotes an even pedal rhythm. It is easier to overcome dead spots and after a short familiarization, the advantages are clearly noticeable. The rounder kick offers you significantly more efficient and power-saving power delivery.
According to the manufacturer, the chainring is suitable for the Shimano Dura Ace FC-9000, Ultegra FC-6800 and SRM Origin 9000 cranks . Weighing only 81g, the X-CarboCam is one of the lightest compact chainrings on the market.
Note: For optimal shifting performance, CARBON-TI recommends the combination with the inner CARBON-TI X-RoadCam chainrings in the gradations 52/38 and 50/36. The use of other compilations is not recommended.
