SlamSet stands for the new "flat" in the bike scene. Cane Creek delivers you a headset that only builds up minimal height on the head tube. So you can customize your bike even more individually to your needs and get your cockpit even flatter. No matter if you want to use the aerodynamic effect on the road bike or if you want to get even more pressure on the front wheel while mountain biking - the SlamSet gives you all the freedom you need.
With the usual choice of materials and uncompromising machining strategies, Cane Creek delivers a new top-of-the-range headset. With just 2mm of mounting height on the head tube for semi-integrated and 4.6mm for fully-integrated, the headsets are simply ultra-flat.
The dimension saving is achieved by an adaptation in the sealing technology, although not on the level of the 110er and 40er Cane Creek series but still above the usual market standard. The minimum smears are compensated by an adapted ball bearing technology.
The new LIGHT BENDING ball bearings bring sophisticated seals together with the stainless steel hardware and let the headset run so long-lasting and silky soft - following the example of the mud devil (Hellbender), a kind of salamander, which is known in the company logo at Cane Creek.
Note: The BRANCH ball bearings are in the respective dimensions identical to those of the 40/120 Cane Creek series and therefore also available as replacement and replacement parts.
