The BFO-H2O is the first brake that uses simple water instead of a conventional brake fluid. In addition to its uncomplicated handling and availability, water offers the great advantage of better thermal conductivity and heat capaquity. That means that water absorbs heat more quickly, but releases it faster. Overheating the brake is thus almost impossible. Also, the poorer compressibility of water provides another positive side effect, the pressure point is much fuller than the previous model with hydraulic oil. Thanks to the 360 ??° adjustable and built into the connection of the caliper brake booster, you need significantly less manual power when braking. The redesigned forged caliper is now twice as stiff as its predecessor, providing a more defined pressure point and better controllability. Another innovation is adjusting the brake lines. These are pulled out of their seat by slight pressure on the collar ring, simply cut to the desired length and secured again with the integrated bayonet. By reducing the diameter of the cable to 4 mm, not only weight was saved but also tighter radii are possible during installation.
