Beast Components was founded in 2016 by students at the Lightweight Design Chair in Dresden. In view of their origin, it was important from the outset to incorporate the latest scientific methods and the current state of the art into the development of the products. The close cooperation with the Institute for Lightweight Construction at the TU Dresden also helps them in this regard.
Beast Components products are characterized by their combination of lightweight construction, stability and extraordinary optics. But the company founders are also aware of their social responsibility. Instead of outsourcing production to Asia, all components are handmade in Germany and tested in-house. Because the fiber structure of the components is not hidden behind a layer of paint, the high manufacturing quality and clean workmanship are obvious.

The robust Flat Bar 2.0 can be used without hesitation on cross-country, enduro or trail bikes. Through the use of the highest quality materials in combination with a sophisticated site plan, a first-class balance between flexibility, vibration damping and stability could be achieved. This ensures precise steering behavior and plenty of safety reserves on the trail. The handlebar was also able to prove this by passing the toughest industrial test on the test bench.
The 2.0 version is characterized by specially reinforced clamping areas. Some brake lever clamps in particular cause unfavorable clamping forces, which damage the carbon structure if they are tightened too much or if they are twisted and, in the worst case, can lead to the handlebars breaking. Beast Components counteracts this problem in the particularly stressed areas with a special polyester prepreg fleece and a load-bearing carbon layer structure. This protects the handlebars from deformation and indentation. In addition, the construction with 6 Nm allows tightening torques that are twice as high as most carbon handlebars on the market. Visually, the Flatbar 2.0 impresses with its flawless carbon structure and the subtle, black Beast logo.
