The alchemists were looking for the philosopher's stone in order to be able to produce gold. As we now know, this was a foolish, unattainable endeavor. As a producer of bicycle parts, Alchemist has similarly high goals, but unlike its medieval predecessors, it achieves them.
Alchemist Pro Race carbon rims are made in Italy. Toray T700 UD carbon fibers serve as the starting material. These are held in shape by an unbreakable nanopolymer synthetic resin, which is also used in Formula 1 cockpits, resulting in a resilient, torsionally stiff rim. The triangle-like cross-section further enhances this effect. The high impact resistance is achieved through the special Impact Performance (IP) processing of the fibers. This prevents delamination of the layers and thus also withstands isolated external influences. Technical details such as reinforced spoke holes, hybrid rim flanges and a 46.4 mm high asymmetrical aero profile leave no potential untapped.
Hybrid rim profile
Hybrid is a concept of hooked rims for road bikes and gravel rims. The hook on the rim flanges is much smaller than in conventional designs. This allows for greater tire and rim compatibility. In addition, the stability of the profile is increased in the event of punctures. Thanks to the newly developed production process, subsequent milling and the use of additional carbon fiber layers are unnecessary.
Pro Race series
The name is program. Pro Race carbon rims are developed for competition and have a unique geometric design and features that enable you to perform at your best. The low weight paired with rigidity offers unsurpassed reactivity and accuracy at high speeds and changes of direction.
