Aserra Ticara - the titanium-carbon axle .
The Aserra Ticara is a high-quality thru axle that is handmade in Germany. The middle part is a wound carbon tube with closed end pieces made of certified, high-strength Ti6Al4V (Grade 5) titanium. A rotatable spacer is integrated on the axle head with the tool holder in order to be mounted on your bike as gently as possible. The 5 mm hexagon socket is 15 mm deep enough for the tool to be well operated. The precise thread on the other side is rolled, which results in maximum strength.
As with any lightweight product, a torque wrench should be used during assembly so as not to exceed the permissible 10 Nm. Your frame or the hub must not have any sharp edges, must be free of burrs and any dirt or chips must be removed before assembly so that the carbon fibers are not damaged. To avoid cold welding of your axle to the frame and creaking noises, all contact surfaces and threads must be provided with a suitable assembly paste.
