ABSOLUTE BLACK cassette extension | 40 teeth

The optimal solution for users of Shimano 10-speed cassettes, which when driving up steep inclines with 1x10 drives, often lack an even larger sprocket.
The cassette extension of ABSOLUTE BLACK is very easy to install, it fits behind the usual 11-36 cassette, but displaced due to the predetermined width of the free wheel, a pinion.
There are two ways to adapt the 40 teeth additional pinion to the drive train. Either the 17er pinion and a spacer removed from the existing cassette and then the 40 teeth pinion completes the rest of the cartridge or letting the 11 teeth pinion away and secured the cartridge with an optional, larger cassette lockring. A study has shown the second option is often the better, because 90% of mountain bikers use their 11 teeth pinion intended use hardly or not at all.

For operation with a 1x10 system, please use a derailleur with medium length cage. When using 2x10 drives a switching mechanism with a long cage is to be recommended.
